The Commanding Heights
The Commanding Heights is an incremental economy game with a focus on factory management and mitigating climate change. Design factories, hire workers, build out supply chains, build road networks, ship your goods overseas, research new technologies, and try not to overheat the planet in the process!
Every factory produces carbon emissions, which must be kept under control if you want to have a chance of reaching the late game. This game simulates temperature and moisture patterns across the globe and their corresponding effects on crop availability. Rising temperatures will exacerbate desertification and shift arable land away from the equator.
Cities will dynamically bid on the goods that you produce and provide workers to staff your factories. You must build complex supply chains that stretch across the planet. Should you ship coal to your mines for on-site smelting, or transport ore to centralized smelters? Should you spend your oil on petrochemical feedstocks for plastic production, or burn it for electricity and invest in bioplastic synthesis instead?
Most importantly, do not trust anyone. A global trade war is on the horizon.
Some other tips if you're stuck --
- Build various research goods (they're listed at the bottom of the goods menu for each city) to unlock more of the tech tree.
- Hold down ALT in both the overworld and the factory UI to check flow
- If your factory isn't running, odds are that your prices are too high. Try to reduce the min sell value at the sell box.
- One simple approach to climate change -- build more

I noticed that the Jam page says that game was made in Bevy, was it? If so, that’d be really cool ngl.
It was made in Bevy!
I noticed keeping carbon dioxide completely under control kills any and all sugar, cotton, latex, and bio-organics... to the point that you must heat it up and then keep it even at 0.
browser version doesn't work
Working on a fix for the browser version on Windows, sorry. Will be ready in an hour or two. In the interim the local build works fine
Fixed! Browser version should work now
